At the time of my estimate the soil just below the surface of the sub-area was slightly damp, but you showed me pictures of the basement flooding with several inches of water during the rainy months. To solve this problem, it will require a drainage system along the rear and left sides of the residence. The depth of the system will be deeper than the basement slab. We will connect the downspout located on the right side closest the rear corner into the system as well. To accomplish work, it will be necessary to remove and replace all the concrete flatwork along the rear and left sides. There is no concrete color included in the replacement. We will seal the foundation wall adjacent the left side of the basement with 2 coats of asphalt emulsion. The system will discharge through a 4 inch solid pipe through the front planting area and beneath the public walk to the street. The landscaping along the path of the drain will be damaged or removed, and no replacement is included. Complete specifications to be included with the contract.
