Drainage construction in Alameda often involves drainage design in order to protect the basement from flooding, dry out wet crawlspaces, avoid mudslide, protect the retaining wall, and stop the yard from flooding. Water under a house or home can be very damaging, causing mold, bad smells, mildew, and dry rot. Drain repair and drainage repair may involve the installation of French drain or French drains, and sometimes it is necessary to install sub drains, and a catch basin and sump pump to divert water from low areas under a home. Rainwater and stormwater should run off the roof through gutters and downspouts, onto concrete tile or through grates then into the French drain, through piping and find its way to appropriate storm drains.
As competent drainage contractors we offer a professional estimate in Alameda, provide advice on drainage design, provide an estimate or bid for your drainage job, perform the work quickly and efficiently, with minimum intrusion on your lifestyle. Most drainage problems are too much for the do it yourself project. They often involve structural design, concrete pour into wood forms, underground drainage, and more.
Here is one of many examples of a drainage construction project we completed on Thompson Avenue in Alameda:
Drainage Estimate
We will construct a drainage system along a 32 feet long portion of the left, and the entire right and rear sides. The depth of the system will be deeper than the adjacent sub-area grade. The system will discharge into a sump located at the rear of the residence. We will run the downspouts along the right side directly into the drainage swale that runs along the right side of your property. The water from the sump will be pumped into one of these pipes. We will remove and replace a strip of concrete along the right and rear sides as necessary to install the drain. We will remove the existing surface drain located near the left rear corner and replace it with a new one that ties into the system. The sump will be constructed to accept a future drain that will surround the furnace slab retaining walls at a depth lower than the slab if necessary.
Complete drainage specifications to be included with the contract.
